Change directory of BOINC

Hi to everybody,
this is the first time then I write in this forum.
The first time then I install Boinc I install it in the directiry where I install all the programs but now I have a partition of my Hard disk more big and I want move BOINC in this partition.
I have followed the instructions then I have founded in this site.
I'm completed with success all operation but I don't found 1 file:
job_log_*.xml. I found this file but it isn't .xml but .txt why?
I have did all other operation but not it and now I can't connect. crying

What I must do???
help me please
ps: I'm sorry for my bad english but I'm italian and I speak only little english

All changed now. It is the job_log_*.txt files that was meant.

meanwhile thanks for the answers but now there is an other problem:
why I can't connect BOINC?? I connect to localhost but he tell me the is impossible!!! crying

What I must do???

I have writed of my problem! I copy the files of BOINC in an other directory, I complete the instruction but now I can't connect my BOINC why??

Hello fascetto94,
Lets start out by asking you which distro of Linux you are trying to install in. You can use Italian. Sekerob is Italian. It sounds as though the problem occurs during installation. What installation package are you using?

How are you connected to the Internet?

If you're still using the BOINC 5.10.45 client, make sure that the gui_rpc_auth.cfg file is in your BOINC directory. Only in BOINC 6 does it need to be in the BOINC Data directory.
