The background photo for the Rice screen saver

First, is the background a photograph?

Second, if it is in fact a photograph, where was it taken?

Re: The background photo for the Rice screen saver

Yes it is a photograph.
It has been shot somewhere in Thailand.
The precise place is not known by the team currently.
All educated guesses are allowed.

Cheers. Jean.

Re: The background photo for the Rice screen saver

The background photo on the graphics is actually from near Sapa VietNam.. sorry for the confusion. It was taken about 1 month ago by a friend traveling there with my daughter. I suppose someone will eventually find the exact spot using google earth or something.
