And Jean, you are correct - I checked the ID numbers and low and behold they appear to indicate the abandoned child account was created first. Oh, and my memory - I have a memory like a steel trap; the problem is, it's rusted shut. ;)

To be absolutely sure, NO accounts can be merged on WCG. That ONLY works on 3rd party BOINC statistics sites that import member BOINC Statistics data. The consolidating factor are the CPIDs automatically generated from the members uniform and unique email address. That consolidating generally only works on active accounts. Some advanced trickery could facilitate that, I think, for inactive accounts.

The Policy for passwords changed from 5 to 6 characters minimum. If you change it and you try anything less than 6 you get an notice.

Best is you abandon your new member account and attach BOINC to 'vep' after changing the password there (no need to re-register any old devices). After, rename PaulVer to PaulVerold and the 'vep' account to 'PaulVer' (whatever you prefer.)

If you wish your any new BOINC points to add to the old account's UD agent point on the My Grid page you need to detach the BOINC device from PaulVer and re-attach it to 'vep'.
