confused Messages

Hello,
I don't really know if this question has been raised already.
When I open WCG, I'm shown a lot of messages. Is there a point keeping those messages, or can I just delete them ?

Re: Messages

You can't delete them.

I'm not sure if that answers your question. If not, please give more details.

Re: Messages

Hello vep,
My BOINC Manager opens in the state I put it into before closing it. I keep BOINC Manager in the Advanced View on the Projects tab. That way, whem it opens, I immediately see what I have running and what is waiting to run. I only switch to the Messages tab if I want to check when something ran, then I switch back to Projects.

Goes without saying that Lawrence meant the Tasks tab (should i place the tongue or the wink smilie here confused ).

The messages are stored away to the stdoutdae.txt file which by default is limited to 2mb in size at which time a backup is made to the stdoutdae.old file and a new log file is created. Each restart a clean message tab screen is created, but the previous/old messages are still in the log file. On diagnosing a problem it is a very useful reference for the support people, so we prefer for it to be left alone.

Re: Messages

Sigh. . .
Sekerob is right. I use the Tasks tab all the time, not the Projects tab.
