A dead man could never be able to rewind the cassette recorder to a phrase before his death... hugs

Push the cork into the bottle.

directions. Since they had left their map at the last gas station and there was no one around to ask, how could Jack and Joe find their way to Lynnsville?

They could hold up the sign post. Since they knew they were comming from Kaysville, they could orient the sign in the direction that direction.

Picture an empty wine bottle with a cork secured at the top in the usual way. Inside the bottle a metal ring hangs suspended by a string. How is it possible to make the metal ring drop to the bottom of the bottle without touching the ring, the thread, the cork, or the bottle while leaving the cork in place and intact?

If the ring is made of iron you could use a strong magnet.
