----------------------------------------Glad to hear that you are on the mend -- I hope to hear soon that you are all better. I don't think you have heard that I too have been mending. I am told that the below the knee amputation of my right leg is no longer essential. While I still have the infection in a bone in my foot, they feel that long term treatment with antibiotics is the better course to follow today. They tell me that I will have chronic foot and leg problems and that the amputation may become necessary at some point, but that might be a month, 5 years or even 10 years from now.
