#16: I think it was the V2 rocket. I also think it is the end of a bullwhip, but the V2 is what most people would think of as being something to break the sound barrier.

#13: slowly pour sand into the hole. The bird will re-position itself to always stand on the sand and will eventually reach the top.

#14: 6 days. It carries out 1 ear of corn per day, plus the 2 ears on its head.

The neighbor was very apologetic, but the farmer thanked the neighbor for doing him a big favor.
The farmer said that now he can measure his grain in one pound increments starting at one pound all the way to forty pounds (1, 2, 3, 17, 29, 37, etc.) using these four stones.

Wild guess here -- they are attached at the hip, and the first talker is the one on the left hand side - the steering wheel is on the right side in London, so other second talker would always have to drive if they lived there.

After one minute, the engine has travelled the entire tunnel, just as the caboose is entering the tunnel, so the caboose takes one more minute to travel the entire tunnel. The answer is 2 minutes for the entire train.
