Yep. That's for sure. I think those notices the admins are supposedly mailing out about switching to BOINC must be working. mlafferty does show up on BOINCStats and just rejoined our active ranks yesterday. I am seeing folks making the switch to BOINC, much more so than I was expecting. We have someone who occasionally appears to use that notice as a trigger to clean up and quit but it's rare. I'd say no more than 1 in 10, maybe more like 1 in 20. That all bodes well for the members we have but we would do well to get more and get our daily crunchers back up out of the 40s.

Oh, if spending what you do on crunchers and electricity isn't enough, you may want to have a look at something I've just gotten started with - www.kiva.org - it seems okay to me so far. I've read about other microloan groups but this is one that provides more of a direct connection between you and the folks you help help. If you give it a try and want to reference me in that field you'll see in the registration, my email is khenry at attglobal.net - I don't think it gains me anything other than a "hey thanks for inviting a friend to join" email.
