WOW! Just happened to notice that I hit four years of runtime today. It sure adds up a lot faster ith the C2D! Also, is it just me or does it seem like Jonathan and I are turning into some sort of MOTian version of Matlin and Carville?? ![]() I hope you mean to imply that I wear the pants as the democrat. Because everyone knows that republicans are sissies. Actually, I wasn't thinking in terms like that. More of the case of the perspectives we're giving (probably needlessly too) Blizzie. The thing about college is that it is a really good opportunity to fail and waste a lot of money. Most kids don't have a big problem with that and I'm sure Blizzie won't either. Everyone will make mistakes though but that's okay too as long as you can avoid the really major ones. College is really your first crack at choosing where and how to live. When you're looking for that first job out of college, that first apartment where you're out on your own, that new (for you) home to live in, you have to consider a lot of factors - the neighborhood, the schools, the cost of living, the amenities, and more. College is a lot like that too. That first home you buy won't be in the poshest, ritziest neighborhood. There's nothing wrong with checking out the crime stats for the area so you can better know if and how you'll need to protect yourself. That's just one part of the picture though. Electronics are prime targets in a lot of places, not just on college campuses but with the increasing reliance on them for studying, classwork, note taking and such, the loss of a laptop can really mess you up. Thinking ahead, being prepared and being aware can't hurt. Being in a dorm with doors that are supposed to be secure but are broke too often doesn't help though. Yea, you want to have some fun too. Blizzie will be fine in spite of all our advice ![]() |
