Hello,
I've been folding points for like 32 days now, generated around 27000 points and what I wonder about is; How can I have a dynamic signature that loads the score from the statistics of a user each day(you specify username) and then have a signature image generated from that with your stats posted onto it! Wouldnt that have been neat? I think so and I wonder if we can get that made, it would surely attract many more users here. |

There is no easy way, automatic way to do this. Somebody good with scripting languages could do it. The information is publicly available. Just log on as a guest to Global Statistics - By Members - Multiple Member Comparison ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewCompareMembers.do ) and enter a member ID such as lawrencehardin, then click on Compare. This generates: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewCompareMembers.do?
----------------------------------------userNames%5B0%5D.value=lawrencehardin &userNames%5B1%5D.value=&userNames%5B2%5D.value= &userNames%5B3%5D.value=&userNames%5B4%5D.value= &userNames%5B5%5D.value=&userNames%5B6%5D.value= &userNames%5B7%5D.value= which returns a web page with statistics for the member ID entered. You could request 8 members at a time. Then have your program extract the desired statistics and go from there. Does anybody feel like contributing a program that can do this? Just some information for you.
We are planning at some point to produce an XML feed with different stats (global, team and member most likely). We are also looking at producing an image with a members name and stats superimposed on top of it (similar to what other members have done unofficially). I can't say for sure how soon we will get there, but we do like the idea. thanks, knreed |

Actually that thing that I had on the:
----------------------------------------http://www.unofficialworldcommunitygrid.com was just a link to something that a member named statsfreak created. The link went bad some time ago and I can't seem to find him - Could be that I am spelling his member name wrong. I like the statement from knreed as an XLM feed sounds like the way to go. Of course timing is always a concern in that everyone wants everything now except me of course . |

You could get in contact with Neil Munday, who has created a stats sig for GRID.org, and so I guess it shouldn't be that hard for him to convert it to WCG.
