BOINC is not that different from Windows, Mac or Linux platforms. To resolve this issue, go to:

BOINC Manager > Advanced> Preferences > Processor usage, then set the "while processor usage is less than" setting to 0.

This should resolve the issue. If you need more detailed instructions, please let me know. This is a very easy fix.

that was the solution! The Problem was that i didn't know that i had to maximize the Window of the BOINC Manager to see the menubar
