devilish Pending Validation For Ever and Ever.....

I have an Intel Core Doe 2.66 that does pretty well compare to my others so now it goes farther and does better job but the question that I have why does it take for my machine to calculate 2 projects about 1.4 Hours and validation about 4 – 5 days? Is it because once my comp crunched another must re-crunch it? is it because there is some (major) pothole down the fiber line? confused

Thanks

Re: Pending Validation For Ever and Ever.....

Hi,

Yes you got that perfectly right. My own statistics show with running zero additional buffer that 25% finds quorum on the first day of work return and by day 4 > 90% is quorum complete. Some can take as long as 7-10 days and for HPF2 with an 18 day deadline it could take even longer, but not likely as for that the distribution is 19, but quorum is already determined when 15 copies have been returned.

let us know if you need more info. The Start Here forum has some discussion on Quorum and Validation.

cheers
