confused Result=Error, file(s) not found during work unit download
Hi All,

I got my first AC@H work unit today. I eagerly logged onto the web site to check the result. Unfortunately my results page shows an Error for this work unit (see below). There is 16x redundancy so far, and my result was one of 7 error results. My result log mentiones one file not found, but the Boinc log names several missing files when it tried to download the work unit. Has anyone else seen these errors?

Below are the result name and log from the web page, and the Boinc log messages regarding the AC@H work unit. I figured I would post this while all the pertinent information is still available.

It sounds like the files are missing on the server.

Can you check the other copies of the same work unit, and verify they had the same problem?

Either way, the techs will correct the problem if needed.

I don't think there's a way to tell from the workunit status page why some of the other results failed. It doesn't have a link to each result's status like my own result status page did.

If they all failed, that's all we need to know.

At least there is no wasted work with this particular type of failure.

I run BOINC 5.10.30 on Windows Vista Home. Saw this when I clicked on the 'Error' link on the result status page for an ACH WU. Thought may be this is relevant with this topic, rather starting a new topic for this.

I have the same probleme. I have this message for all the works (10).
Boinc+Vista

I have no problem with the 2 other PC on windows XP.

Hello TeddyBEER!
Are you running release 5.10.45 of Boinc on your Vista machine?

If not, give it a try and come back here if you still have problems. 5.10.45 is supposed to have solved many problems related to Vista.

Think you best un-tick AC@H in your profiles. Stops the "No work Available for this project" messages in the client log. The past 2 days no results were returned leading to a plunge of all curves to the floor:



The techs were asked about the project status and advise.
