Previously, when I clicked on the BOINC Tray Icon I was shown various information about the projects running, or other administrative stuff.
Now nothing happens. Presumably tasks are still being processed, since my points continue to increment. Should I download and install the BOINC Agent again, and does that close and restart my profile ? |

Probably a Windows thing. try closing the application, with task manager if need be and reboot. See if that doesn't cause the system to return to normal.

Double click.
Does that work? Or try right-clicking - you can open BOINC Manager from the menu. |

This is happening to me. I have WinXP and systray icon is not clickable. All the other icons (4) will repond to the mouse. Restarting computer will get icon clickable again, but after a short while it's back to unclickable. To get the info back on my screen, I can get it by going to start>all prorams>BOINC and it will open. The main issue then becomes many icons for this program in systray. They will eventually disappear in time or a restart. Is this a quirk in the program or with my computer? This just started to happen recently. I haven't added any new programs, and do periodically run Norton AV as well as spyware/malware detection programs. Thanks, Jim

It is very likely that Norton is interfering with BOINC Manager. Have a close look at what it is blocking.

I went looking pretty deep into my NSW software. I may have found the issue in the Cleanup part of program. I told Norton to ignore the WGN files and tried the cleanup. So far the icon is still clickable. Thanks for the help.
