Stats updates have nothing to do with this process.
Shall we take a look under the hood and make sure things are okay? How many seconds of work were requested in your last scheduler request? Look in your BOINC folder. Do you see two files, global_prefs.xml and global_prefs_override.xml? If they exist, please copy their contents into a post for us to verify. |

Hello snoekie,
'Reading preferences override file' This means you are using the cache settings from your local preference file. Your XML files are probably in C:\Program Files\BOINC. I am puzzled about why your client is not requesting more work. Probably one of the correction factors stored in a XML file is way off and needs to be set back to 1.00 Lawrence |

snoekie, you have an override in effect:
04/02/2008 13:10:20||Reading preferences override file To correct this, open BOINC Manager, and open the preferences dialog. Click "Clear" to remove the override. |

Didactylus and Lawrence, thank you. I cleared the overide requirement and I now have 3 wus waiting in the wings, happened almost immediately after the clearance. Not enough for when I am away for a few days, but enough for overnight.
Thank you again. |
