Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Sounds like a football injury. Those cruciate ligaments are very tough!

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

My eldest (Mel) had her kneecap removed about 10 years ago.
They said then that they wouldn't be able to replace her knee until she got older, (a lot older) as replacement knees have a limited life-span, and once thats up, they can't replace it.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Blustery here all day so it was a question of looking for the showers and some smart sprinting as we managed to get two lots of washing done knowing that the forecast for the rest of the week is far worse.
Just as well my knees are OK for the moment!

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

One of the most painful things I do is sitting where I am sitting at the moment - AT THE COMPUTER!!"! crying Neither of my knees like it - the one with the new contraption inside and the other one that still needs doing!! sad Hope you all appreciate my sacrifices devilish Have to go now - pain level too high!! (PS: Did I mention that I had the operation carried out without a general anaesthetic? On the advice of my daughter I had it done with an epidural biggrin It was OK, honestly, and no ill effects from the G.A.)

Morning all.
Merle, I used to work in theatre (hospital not variety) and from what I saw, I think I would rather be asleep!

I know Ted, my daughter is a Theatre Nurse so that is why I trusted her advice. She said nothing about the op beforehand but I rather guessed it would be a saw and chisel job!! But I will certainly have an epidural the next time - it was a doddle!

Pouring down here non-stop - I thought is was July, did I get that wrong?? sad
