Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all and a belated happy birthday from me also John. You're still a youngster really even though you can now get the cheap rate on National Coaches.

Enjoyed my walk, the weather was good and the company happy and amusing. Walked through acres of broad beans, grown I suppose for animal feed. I'd never seen that before.

No adjustment so far for my missing results - nil on the 24th and one on the 25th when. otherwise the average is around three or four. It wasn't the incident of a very long task because the time and points follow the same pattern.

Is it some pirate other team pinching for their own benefit?

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Hi all, I thought it was about time I made an appearance and assure you all that I haven't really fallen off the face of the earth. Only one more week of school and then we have two weeks off. My two youngest are driving up to see Cassie in Blenheim for a week so it will be very peaceful. I have bought 3 books so I can get some serious reading done with feet up and all biggrin Hope everyone is well and happy. I think I have all my health problems under control so I am now back in business. Take care all smile

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

morning peeps biggrin And special HI to Kate

****************
wishy washy day so far weak sun lotsa cloud
but no rain ......yet smile

***************

did My boy scout thing last night,
one of the nurses at the hospice had a flat tyre so set out to change it very hard to free up the wheel nuts with the kit in the car

You know how the garage uses the wheel guns then a longer wheel brace to tighten beyond belief

I have a ex army wheel brace that is capable of removing nuts from tanks , how ever at sometime the socket has been lost ....
I was pleased to discover this now as I could have been stuck on the road able to remove the special security nut but not the rest of the wheel nuts .

Any way managed to change the punctured wheel replaced with the spare one of those emergancy "no more than 50 mph things "
Of course the spare was also nearly flat as Nurse had never checked it ... sad
but garage is just down the road all mobile again smile
**************
Have to delve into tool box in garage and sort out wheel nut socket smile

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Another day of good weather so a pleasant walk to the supermarket.
This led us to decide on crayfish tails with salad for dinner this evening with a spot of Sauvignon Blanc.

No back log in the first week of Wimbledon; can it be true. I just hope it doesn't go berserk and ruin my day at Lord's tomorrow. And I hope the England side start behaving themselves.

Who do you have down for the singles winners Merle?

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - GAME ON

Should have been on Centre Court at Wimbledon tomorrow but had to give my tickets away as I wouldn't have been able to climb up all the steps! crying crying devilish

Well now there's something I didn't Know
I thought Ball girl/boys /Umpires Just had to walk onto number one court

just like that

I had assumed that your seniority Merle gave you rite of passage

shame on the all England Tennis & Croquet Club
should look after their Loyal staff they could have provided a stannah stair lift to raise you to the umpires chair devilish
