 Good morning allHappy Birthday to Britains oldest man ..... 112yrs young! I would Love to know his recipe for a long life!. The rest of you have a great day too ........... (Not so) Old Sage  Have To Give Him A name Check Henry William Allingham (born June 6, 1896) No he isn't 112 years young He is 112 Years old Its hard work getting Owld (ask Ted ) None of the Younguns nowadays have the stamina to last that long As to the recipe for longevity not sure I want LONG life just the average but if the recipe s a Gallon of ale a day & 2 ounces of Condor I'll give it a go ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Jun 6, 2008 8:43:13 AM] |

Have just spoken to Merle on the dog and bone, she is getting better slowly (Too slow for her liking) She has asked me to thank everyone on her behalf, for all the good wishes and kind thoughts during this tough time. She is finding it difficult to sit at the computer due to leg full of metal clips, but she will be back as soon as she can.

(Not so) Old Sage ...I think you mean the R FC  I stand corrected; Formed by Royal Warrant on 13th May 1912, the Military Wing of the Royal Flying Corps superseded the Air Battalion of the Royal Engineers. Its initial allowed strength was 133 officers, and by the end of that year, it had 12 manned balloons and 36 aeroplanes. Old Sage |

Heard and saw a pair of merles flying up and down our driveway yesterday. He led the way closely followed by his little brownish mate, just about two feet above ground level. They sing beautifully. I hope I will soon hear their namesake singing as well and with good cause!

With singing Merle, we need some sound clips on this forum. Raining at the moment, doesn't look promising for our monthly 'Village' gardening morning. Hope he enjoyed his personal fly past by the RAF. |
