![]() First of all I want to thank you for your continued contribution to the World Community Grid, choosing to join team USMC and your active participation in various WCG forum threads. All of your efforts are important and appreciated. ....How many servers does BBrantley use? !!!! As for our USMC team mate bbrantley his total WCG statistics page shows that he has 9 Device Installations, but as I mentioned in a previous post that may not be the actual number of computers he has the protein folding agent running on. I'm going to catch up !!!!... Maybe you can catch up with him, his total WCG statistics which were last updated 03/17/2005 23:59:59 (UTC) show at that time he ranked 136 in Total Run Time, 102 in Points Generated and 78 in Results Returned. By the way, our team USMC statistics which were last updated 03/17/2005 23:59:59 (UTC) show at that time, with only 12 members having returned at least one result, we ranked 171 in Total Run Time, 163 in Points Generated and 139 in Results Returned. I have to agree with you, that's a pretty good team effort and each USMC team member deserves a Well Done for their contributions. Let's keep folding those proteins... ![]() .. All I can say is that I am jealous! I had the top spot till bbrantley kicked me off the ladder
![]() Congratulations to all. As a team we have amassed more than 3 years computing time. I'd say that, as always, Marines are a small bunch but they GET THINGS DONE! ![]() |

Semper Fi leatherneck74-84 and a long over due
----------------------------------------Welcome Aboard team USMC to a ![]() ![]() I want to thank you for your significant contributions to the WCG since 11/17/04, for joining team USMC 6 days later and for your first posting on this thread yesterday. Well Done leatherneck74-84, you were indeed our USMC team leader, number 1 contributor for a long time. Now you are rapidly approaching a major WCG milestone achievement by becoming a yearling with at least 1 year of total run time. Your latest statistics show you have already contributed over 343 days of total run time. Although only 12 of our 15 USMC team members have so far returned one or more result, as you have pointed out, our small team has worked together toward accomplishing the mission in true US Marine Gung Ho tradition. As I can't think of a better way to say it, let me quote you... Congratulations to all. As a team we have amassed more than 3 years computing time. I'd say that, as always, Marines are a small bunch but they GET THINGS DONE! Now I must apologize to you for not highlighting your achievements on this thread earlier, especially your significant WCG contributions and your long held team USMC leadership position. It is no excuse, but this thread is the first time I have been in a forum and it has taken me a while to learn a few of the basics of how to use it and do what appears to be so easy for other more experienced and skilled people. Once again, Welcome Aboard and Semper Fi leatherneck74-84. ![]() Let's keep folding those proteins... ![]() .. United States Marine Corps .. |

...and for your first posting on this thread yesterday. Sorry I haven't participated earlier. I only recently discovered this thread but haven't had the time to post. I'm a full time graduate student as well working 40 hours a week so finding a moment to do anything is tough. (Currently I'm on a two week break.) Glad to be able to play a small part in the team effort. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi leatherneck74-84 -
----------------------------------------You are making significant contributions to the WCG and our USMC team, even though it sounds like you have a full rice bowl, with graduate school and working 40 hours a week too, enjoy your break. If you do find some spare time, why not consider adding an automatic signature to your forum posts, with a link to our team's statistics page. I think this might help recruit and make it easier for others to join our USMC team. I want to give credit to Graham of My Online Team for showing me how to do it. Here's what it could look like ![]() ![]() ![]() and here's how you can do it - First copy the following block of text to the clipboard (or Notepad) so you can paste it into your WCG Forum Signature Box {**==]{b]{color=blue] leatherneck74-84 {/color]{/b]{**==]{url=http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=VD5RSMBR9N1]{b]{color=red] Click here to view or join team{/color]{color=blue] USMC {/color]{/b]{/url]{**==] Then change each { to [ (you could use notepad "replace all" to make these changes easier) Now be sure you are signed into WCG as leatherneck74-84 and then click on this link below to access your WCG forum signature box: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/changesignature after you have made the changes and pasted the text into your WCG forum signature box then click on "Preview" and you can still make any other changes you might want. The signature block has a maximum of 250 characters When you have it the way you want it, be sure to click on "Change Signature" to save it. That's all there is to it - good luck and Semper Fi Also, please encourage your friends to join the WCG, and let them know that everyone is invited and welcome to join team USMC. Also I usually include the following code at the bottom of my posts. {b]Let's keep folding those proteins...{/b] {img]http://wcg.cc/ski1939.gif{/img] {b].. United States Marine Corps ..{/b] Let's keep folding those proteins... ![]() .. United States Marine Corps .. |

Hi USMC
As usual I am in awe of your Gung Ho Spirit! Here is a shortened Address for your Team Stats Page. (Something even I can remember....) http://USMC.WCG.CC In your signature you can remove the "http://" to save max space. As you only get 250 letters. Off to the US-NAVY thread to post the same... Keep yer D__k Dry! |
