How do I switch what account is being used on a machine?
I added another machine and instead of signing in with my name, I created a new account...then later I figured out that I could use the same account for all my installs...so how do I switch a running machine to a different account? I tried uninstalling the software, however when I re-installed the BOINC client, it picked up the same login information. Thanks! |

The account information is also in an XML file in the install directory.
----------------------------------------The easy way would be to remove all active work units, and then simply close the BOINC, remove the BOINC directory completely, and then install again. ![]() |

If you are using BOINC, the best way to do this without reinstalling is to "detach" from World Community Grid, then attach to the project again. This will ask you for your member name and password.
You will need to go into Advanced Mode on the BOINC agent. Select on Project tab. Then select World Community Grid and then Detach button. To add World Community Grid back to that machine, you will need to go to Tools at the top and then click "Add new project..". Follow the steps and you should be asked for project url and then your member name / password. Hope this helps, -Uplinger |
