France team has made a website where members can register there pseudo and a lot of informations like a description of there PC's, ...
----------------------------------------But some informations are reserved to members of the team France. So, we have to verify, every time a new member register on our website, if he is a member of France team or an other team. When we go to that page http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewCompareMembers.do to check if the pseudo existe on WCG, it would be great to know if he is a member of a team and which team. Would it be a problem to had that information in the comparaison page ? |

France team has made a website where members can register there pseudo and a lot of informations like a description of there PC's, ... There are other web sites that keep track of such information. I don't know them all, but one the more popular and comprehensive sites is http://boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=wcg&st=0. You can search on the userid/pseudonym and it will tell you what team, if any, a person belongs to. You can also get a custom sig that updates your point totals daily and see a person's "overtake" stats - how long before they are overtaken by or overtake another user (although I'm not sure if they include ud points for all purposes). But some informations are reserved to members of the team France. So, we have to verify, every time a new member register on our website, if he is a member of France team or an other team. Would it be a problem to had that information in the comparaison page ? For example, according to boinc stats, you are a member of team France, and here is a list of people you will overtake in the next week. 1 webotheque 0 599 527,320 555 Detailed stats 2 JJaggers 1 595 529,042 102 Detailed stats 3 nozi 4 592 532,342 421 Detailed stats 4 M_Perry 4 597 528,440 1,374 Detailed stats 5 EBC Bedfont 5 581 536,956 0 Detailed stats 6 Division Brabant.Croga 5 582 536,880 45 Detailed stats 7 phire 5 591 533,140 768 Detailed stats 8 thierbach 6 579 537,460 270 Detailed stats 9 iainw 6 583 536,772 484 Detailed stats 10 lssadm 7 578 538,875 251 Detailed stats ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by twilyth at Jan 12, 2008 6:47:49 PM] |

That would need to be confirmed by the technical staff but I have the feeling that the lists of members in a team are created in real time, i.e. at the time you ask for it. Therefore if you ask for the list of your team sorted by member names you should be able to check it in real time. Obviously for large teams that will take a little longer than if you were able to simply query a member name and get this information directly but at least it is possible.

BoincStats is convenient and interesting for many things but does not bring anything for what boulmontjj is asking for. It takes at least one day to see if a member joins or leaves a team, and for the case of joining it can take even longer until a result has been validated in WCG and detected by BoincStats.
----------------------------------------Not mentioning the case of members using the UD agent only. Cheers. Jean. |

It would be real time information and would not take a while to get it. |

If you just want to look it up manually, then go to you team page, click on "Status (Current/Retired)" and click the arrow to go to the last page. The latest members to join your team are shown at the end.
This information is real-time. |

Yes, it's a good solution for new members but some members register on our web site but in fact, they joined team France a few month ago, sometime years ago.
----------------------------------------There is no simple solution that is efficient for all cases. |

In that case, can't you sort by user name? Stats are updating so I can't check atm. Of course if they register with different names then obviously you're screwed.

Why not have them leave the link to thier stats page? That way it's proof they are on your team.

Diana, if I send you the link to My Statistics you will see yours!
---------------------------------------- Look at the link in the address window of your browser... And information in "My Statistics" below "Device installations" are not shown in the individual view of the "By Members" section. If it is not considered as strictly personal by IBM maybe suppressing this restriction would be a simple and fast way to provide a solution. After all, equivalent information can be found in several other statistical sites. On the other hand the fastest way to access members' individual statistics is by entering their member names in a Compare page. Hence JJ's request. Cheers. Jean. |
