Output file absent - without error message
My Linux machine behaves strange and therefore does not receive work units after kicking the first ones to ... nowhere

Anyone knows what's the problem? Why absent? Where should the be stored?

Permissions issue perhaps?

Your data directory, where the projects and slots directories are located is in root. The permissions for those directories are most likely assigned to user:group root. If you are running boinc under a user account other than root, then it can not write the output files to the slot directories.

I recently changed my user:group from boinc to my login to allow remote changes in preferences. I then had to chown on all directories and files, due to the same error you are receiving.

Checked it.
I run the program as root and all directories have the right permissions.

The files, the program misses are really absent. Thats for sure - I searched them in the slot-directories. Nothing.

The program worked as deamon, until the end of December. Then the problems have appeared. Without any change.

I recently upgraded to the newest version and changed the directory as well. Same error.

the mundayweb faq touches on 32 bit libs missing on a 64bit linux environment, possible the right error message not to coming out with dengue jobs
