Ah, that's why it is reporting to Microsoft. The error is being thrown by the kernel.
(In case you're not familiar with the term, the kernel is the very central core of the operating system. It's what you have when you strip away all the fancy bits and additional libraries.)
I agree with Lawrence - your antivirus software is a strong candidate for causing this kind of software error. Try Sekerob's solution, or a different virus checker.
If this fails, you should give your computer a general health check. Consider reinstalling your operating system.
At the very least, it is something specific to your computer, and not specific to BOINC or World Community Grid. I'm sorry we can't give you better news.
