This UD thing has really pissed me off!! Sometimes I think WCG recovers from shooting themselves in the foot by shooting the other foot. There are a lot of members who do not check out the forum daily ... or ever ... some probably have forgotten they are even running the app. So far I am resisting the urge to post a FLAME But this too shall pass. ![]() Dataman, one of us looking like a bloody idiot is enough. I've done that royally. I've been around WCG long enough to have no doubts that our admins are probably the best around. In the short time I've been crunching on some of the other projects out there, I've seen a good bit already that supports what I've believed for a long time. I think we'll find that this problem wasn't anything self-inflicted. Sometimes when you go in to tweak something, something else surfaces. |

Blizze, I'd offer you good luck on your college applications but I don't think you need it. I suspect you have it pretty well together and will have a lot of places to choose from. While I'd tend to recommend Emory U. to folks, you'll probably do best to stick with a west coast school. With your interest in high tech hardware (can't call it computer hardware anymore with how it's getting into everything these days), the employers you'll likely be choosing among in time are most likely based there on the west coast as well and will be a lot more familiar with the colleges you're looking at than others out this way.

Ah, Silicon Valley - where "shake, rattle and roll" has more meanings that a position statement by a politician.

The System appears to have come back up as @ 04:00 UTC Dec.12'07. The Client will automatically recover, but by hitting the icon in the system tray and operating the 'OK' button under the message you can cause an immediate attempt to upload last result and fetch a new one. Good Night and Good Luck Looks like UD is back up and running. |

Looks like UD is back up and running. Good news - and lets hope this boosts things back on track. Can I just say as someone who guests here occasionally, that the reason I do so is because this is a great team, one of the originals here, and I am always proud to come and lend a hand - so much so I sport your badges with pride in my sig. Folks come and go from every team here, and as I say over at my 'home' team to anyone who stops crunching or chooses to move on - 'Thanks for all your contributions, we are proud to have had you as a member and will always be regarded as such'. Your goal of 50 Million points in a year will be a phenomenal effort by everyone here, and one I wholeheartedly support and proud to be a part of. ![]() |

Hmm, maybe it's a problem over at TinyURL.com. If I try your full link to DCStat.com, it works. http://dcstat.com/sig/2085.gif

DDDT is having problems again: dddt errors
----------------------------------------I had most of what I crunched overnight error out. They're working on it and we'll end up getting credit in time it seems. Still, I'm opting out of the project for now. |
