Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

You could travel to Base Camp.
You are cordially invited join our Forum and to go with us on our next Trek
- meaning:
- you have your home team where your loyalties are
- you trek with us for a day, a week, two weeks with as much weaponry as you wish
- you go home again
What do you say?

Thanks for the invite but I'm on the board with my present team and need to be there for now. Maybe in the future.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I know you are loyal to your team, nano, and don't want to try to change that.
If you want a vacation, you know where to find us. We always have room for your tent.
Good Evening Base Campers
Trek #30

The last Base Camper left Team Boise Idaho today.
It has been a pleasure being with you NAP2614

- much like what Base Camp did in the old UD days.
Music
Something uplifting from beautiful Vienna - it runs almost 10 minutes - so enjoy
Künstlerleben

Good Evening Base Campers
PecosRiverM
, your birthday is over in my world, but at home in Texas you can carry on
for several hours still. I hope your wife made your favorite dish
- and some pico de pio with an agreeable Scoville score to go with it.
Trek #30
We all left Boise, Idaho - little mermaid for a secret location.
The badge is still up for vote.
I'm happy to say that all three fine suggestions are voted nicely for.
13 of you voted so far, but with a payroll of 102 there is a long way to go ... he-he
- when do we deal the badge, TLD?
Seems as if the long lazy summer days are coming everywhere but Denmark
.... it's freezing - but so far the percipitation has not turned solid ...
Music
The Ride of the Valkyries, by Richard Wagner, in a classic recording with Wilhelm Furtwangler and
the Vienna Philharmonic existed long before Marlon Brando became Kurtz or it was called
Apocalypse Now

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

So today you'll give us bagdes, TLD - oohhhh! New dress!
Thursday Rosie carried my through an ocean of rain to an event at Saxo Bank, Hellerup, near Copenhagen.
We got to see, listen to and ask questions - and I now have a hat with Alberto Contador's autograph
- meet Alberto Contador and his employer Bjarne Riis, winner of Tour de France 1996.

A professional photographer took a photo with Alberto and me (and Alberto and each of all the others).
If it turns out well, I may post it

biggrin

OK, OK, OK - then I do away with ifs and mays:
Below is a picture from my trip today to Ordrupgaard - a collection of beautiful French and Danish paintings.
"The Mermaid and the Merman" (didn't know those existed) was made by Jean Gauguin at Danish china/porcellain/stoneware factory
Bing & Grøndahl. Jean Gauguin is a son of the French painter Paul Gauguin and his Danish wife Mette.

I can only post photos that are current release by your PR dept you being so shy and retiring they are hard to find
I have found another however showing you wearing the safety head gear advised at the time .
Those shoulders say, dont mess with me and if required I can pick up the bicycle and toss it over my shoulder.
