![]() ![]() - and you want to be The Queen of Verbosity, Ghost Plane? BUMP! ![]() Having just returned from Germany, I find this a cute à propos - not that the Danish version has anything to do with Germany at all - oh, and I'm so sorry that it cannot be translated into English because the lyrics are really good - it's called "The Carpenter Song" in Danish The Lumberjack Song in Danish - well, this Danish one should serve as an appetizer for this irresistable version in German with English sub titles by an equally irresistable Michael Palin The Lumberjack Song ![]() |

Problem is, it's the one on the laptop. Gotta live with it. Now at the stage it's depressed, but if I tap on it, the key still works. Open to suggestions how to get it to come back up w/o messing up the laptop.

I'm afraid any advice I'll be able to imagine would only make matters worse
----------------------------------------![]() - but then again as that key cannot get much worse - and who needs the down arrow when you have an up one - I might as well launch "De Nattergale" at their flirtiest and sexiest: Åhh, Karen - they are irrestistable, aren't they? And as that one tended to end on an upset note, we'll take a little calming romance ... Love Waltz ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 30, 2011 2:28:28 AM] |

Problem is, it's the one on the laptop. Gotta live with it. Now at the stage it's depressed, but if I tap on it, the key still works. Open to suggestions how to get it to come back up w/o messing up the laptop. What brand? Most laptop keyboards are fairly easy to replace. On a Toshiba, the plastic panel above the keyboard pops off and then it's a matter of removing two to five screws. The keyboard is connected via a ribbon cable to the motherboard. Replacement keyboards are pretty inexpensive, generally around $12 - $15. I've replaced a few. I usually buy them via Amazon.com. If it's stuck down, you may be able to get it back up. You can Google your laptop brand/model and there may even be a Youtube video showing you how to do it. |

Haven't looked it up yet, but the panel splits in half on either side of the keyboard. Suspect maybe the bottom piece would be the one to come off as the top contains the speakers and media touch keys. But no obvious screws or fasteners. Be the end of the week before I stop juggling doctors long enough to have a sit down and look. |
