That menu of your mother’s was really something, stefada biggrin
Please thank her on behalf of the entire crew
Yes, cswchan, retirement has a way to make you very busy.
Do you recall which team was your original one?

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I was able to visit the site of the 1938 aerodrome in Esch. There is only a commemorative plaque on a stone remaining. There was mention of it in a museum in Mondorf. My son is enduring all the walking with his knee injury. Sometimes his stumbles on the steps if it suddenly gives out. He had a hard time climbing down the steps of the Eiffel Tower last night.

I'm not sure the crunching of Zika on my phone will work. 2 nights of crunching and I've got just 2 hours logged.

Cheers coffee

Oh, you were with the Pup, cswchan. Vaio, right?
I remember him very well.
You may remember mousie as well (pinkie-some digits at the time).
The two of them did a lot of smapping biggrin in our castle - now demolished sad
- but mousie paid us a visit not long ago. She's happily married love struck and my friend on Facebook.
stefada, thank you for another Chilean meal. When will we get boeuf bourguignon?
ChrisRasmussen, I hope you'll succeed in recruiting new crunchers at work.
Did you know there is a WCG bonus for recruiting?
I don't know how it works (I don't get to meet prospective crunchers ... crying ),
but I would think the Crunchers Sans Frontiers members know how to go about it.
Nix Chix, nice to hear from you less than two hours' flight from me smile
Climbing down stairs is often worse than up - especially if you have a knee injury.
Brave of your son to do it. I would think a painkiller afterwards would be in place.
You may want to look at your settings on your phone.
You can adjust battery level allowance (but you would not want to run dry in Paris).
You may allow it to crunch with all power supplies when suitable - also from battery (see above)
- especially by night when you hook it up to a charger.
You may limit the number of processors crunching.
You may want to suspend crunching while walking Paris needing your phone's navigator
- let me recommend HereWeGo
It's brilliant, and you can download an Île de France map - or an entire France map -
and use it off line in the settings; they charge you a million going online overseas).
I'm sure you'll manage to put in at least one Zika, but if not, you're guaranteed a badge for Escher-1 as I promised.
Have a wonderful time - and say hello to your brave son from me.

Good Morning Base Campers!

Yes, ChrisRasmussen, losing a child must be just about the most horrible thing that can happen to you.
Losing three in one blow … it's unfathomable.
Also being such a rich family as this one is and normally must have felt comfortable,
must all of a sudden seem utterly futile. Money cannot bring back these three children.

rose Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

It´s my lunch break and of cause I need to check the forum.

Little Mermaid
I´m talking at this moment with a college in our department in Jylland telling him about GPT website and he tells me that he is in WCG. Of cause I hope that this "lonely wolf" will now join us, but lets see.
I know about the recruitment badge from WCG but I have only had success with them using the personal recruitment link for getting a badge. The Team recruitment link will not give you any badge and of cause they need to be new members in WCG.

Nix Chix
I have had the same issues with phones (androide) Little Mermaid is right about everything. I have set up 4 phones recently all having problems. They had WIFI, Power cord but still no crunching. I found out that WCG data to be downloaded on my fast 4 core phone is about 50 MB data a month. Not much so I disabled the download only over Wifi. All the 4 phones went on crunching right away. But of cause crunching depends on how many cores and CPU% you allow.

Lunch is over. crying

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

You want to laugh ?

Since that night, I was thinking of a beef Bourguignon today, so long before the request for LM!

I let you look at the recipe under the photo. My little personal touch anyway: Very small potatoes, and cut in half, so that they take the taste of the sauce. The small test to know if the meat has simmered enough is that it must be cut with a fork! Otherwise, you have to cook again, over low heat of course.

To accompany wine, everyone will tell you that it is obvious a Burgundy, I advise a Bordeaux Merlot, see a Chilean or a Californian. And sorry LM, but I have no idea what white wine could go with (I do not know everything, far from it)

Enjoy your meal !
