I have a personal machine running Windows XP SP2 for several years now.
----------------------------------------I use a stand alone version of Lotus Notes version 5.0 (Int) as my mailer. Yesterday I installed BOINC te support the Denque investigation. After installation of BOINC my Lotus Notes mailer opens with 'mailbox.ntf not found'. However this file has never been on my machine, it uses a mailbox with a different name. Also Lotus Notes refuses to open an internet page outside Lotus Notes. I have deleted BOINC and tried to reset the system to a previous date to overcome the problems. The reset failed. It looks that I have to reinstall Lotus Notes. Anyone an idea about what has happened? Thanks in advance. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 30, 2007 12:48:44 PM] |

I'm sorry, this doesn't appear to have anything to do with BOINC.

Hello PCHooft,
I concur with Didactylos. Several years of BOINC installations have never produced a problem that sounds at all like the one that happened to you. It sounds cowardly, I know, but I have to fall back on the old PC support standby - - the problem is probably elsewhere. Lawrence |

I have reinstalled Lotus Notes. Will repeat the exercise of installing BOINC and wait for the results. Let you know.

BOINC installed again with Lotus Notes not being active.
Everything OK now. Think previous installation failed cause Lotus Notes was running in the background (minimized). Thanks for reacting. ![]() |
