When running WCG on a laptop, it pauses when the AC power is unplugged and only running on batteries and states something like "Paused to Conserv Battery Power". Is there a setting where I can make it run when on battery power.
I've found that grid computing applications are excellent if you want to cycle (drain) your battery. |

I'm sorry there is currently not a way to make WCG run using only a laptop battery for power. This was a feature implemented to keep less experienced computer users from doing what you actually want to do (running down the battery). If you've got a wireless card and network to connect to, I've found that will drain a laptop battery pretty quickly. ![]() |
