Several thousands have signed up to WCG with Vista, so the simple answer is Yes.

Read this FAQ first before installing BOINC on Vista.

Vista can also shut down quickly, messing up workunits. Shutting down BOINC first is possible, but easy to forget. This is also discussed with solutions. There may be more, but I don't have it myself yet.
