We end September looking good. We did just over four million points this month. That is a good pace to be on each month to make a fifty million point year. We do have some ground to make up from the summer though. For the year, we are at 34,982,461 points. We are VERY close to doing the regular million point weeks that we must have to make our goal for the year. We have 15,017,539 to go to make our goal. That works out to 163,234.11957 points each day so we clearly have plenty of work ahead of us. We need 5,060,258 points in October. If we all keep those machines going, we can make up the ground we lost over the summer and move forward towards our goal for the year.

I swear that the more machines I add ... the fewer results I return.
----------------------------------------  I have so many results incarcerated in the "Pending Validation" jail that I am considering a lawsuit for "overcrowding"!! Anyone have a 'get out of jail free" card?  Just kidding, of course. But I do seem to paired of late with a lot of people who rarely turn their computers on.  |

It's feast or famine with that sort of thing. All of a sudden, a bunch will validate and you'll have a record setting day. With me, it seems that odds are that any Dengue WU's I finish go sit in PV for a while. It's not often that I have something else in PV. Go figure. |

Neat! Really making up for some "lost ground" with my C2D machine. I had gotten as high as 2787 on points rank before I started dropping. When grid.org shut down and all those folks came over, it seemed like I went into freefall.
---------------------------------------- Still, it was hard to believe I could get that high with just a single P4 box. I dropped a good 1000 spots by the time I got my C2D machine but in six weeks, I'm back in the top 5000 in all three categories again and well on my way back to where I was. Those machines are amazing. With luck, I will get my P4 machine from work replaced with a C2D next spring if the bean counters are pleased with my burnt offerings. Anyway, as of this mornings stats:Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) (Rank) 2:304:02:05:13 (#4,999) Points Generated (Rank) 1,174,736 (#3,045) Results Returned (Rank) 3,659 (#3,812) As for making the top 5000 in average points per hour of runtime, if I can make that, that is going to take a good while. Hopefully, it will all translate into a life or two saved. That's what we're all really after anyway! |
