Re: Anyone going to represent the World Community Grid?

LOL Dave

apologies but we campaigned hard to get that webpage to say what it does today.

It has said that since the 9th of this month

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=16187

and

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=15607

Now if they were a partner of the WCG that would be different but we need to get our message out to the attendee's of that Hong Kong conference

The conference has a working title of "Anti-Cancer Innovation and Global Collaboration"

Global Collaboration is what the World Community Grid is all about peace

Re: Anyone going to represent the World Community Grid?

vaio these scientific folks you'd be amazed. I don't think Dr Richards was aware that grid.org had been shut down at the time

They are into Cancer Research and are probably focusing on the task in hand rather than the wider world around.

We still have a PR campaign to achieve we only have 325,000 members after nearly 3 years so the possibilities of the grid are not really widely known - so if you are isolated in a lab somewhere then innate knowledge of the World Community Grid is not guaranteed.

A flyer or a stand in Hong Kong might make all the difference

Re: Anyone going to represent the World Community Grid in Hong Kong?

DDTung, who is a WCG cruncher extraordinaire, hails from HK. He is on the xtremesystems.org team.
