Re: smile smile My Online Team - Break through 2 Million points smile smile

STAT UPDATE:
USA -- Grid Lock 2,269,781
my online team 2,219,530
IBM Innovation Centres 2,204,445
Gay US 2,189,994
IBM Austin 2,175,963
Denmark 2,136,035

Members (Rank) 55 (#58)
Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) (Rank) 9:049:23:00:21 (#25)
Points Generated (Rank) 2,219,530 (#19)
Results Returned (Rank) 7,258 (#17)

Yep, we proved me wrong.

Yesterday's stats:
Members (Rank) 54 (#58)
Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) (Rank) 8:275:18:48:08 (#26)
Points Generated (Rank) 2,129,384 (#22)
Results Returned (Rank) 6,752 (#19)

my online team 2,129,384
Denmark 2,110,281
IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences Team 2,084,644
Hungary 2,043,853

Leapfrogging! cool
One more rank up tomorrow should be no problem, but I think we can hop up 2 ranks if it's a good day.

Hopefully at this rate we'll square top twenty in... oh wait... tomorrow, or day after.

When will we step into top 20?
In 1 week or 2 weeks?

I change my estimate from 5 to 4, or 3 days from now. Of course, tomorrow we might prove me wrong

Pounced over 3 teams whole, and next in our sight is usa-gridlock. No wonder they said we're notorious. I can't blame them :}

I wager a week to get into top 10, cuz competition's getting exponential. And of course, maybe I'll be proven wrong... again. wink

Re: smile smile My Online Team - Break through 2 Million points smile smile

I just found this page by chance while clicking on the team website.
http://82.163.156.92/myonlineteam/statistics.htm

Hi Team, Graham has just sent me this Excel spreadsheet. Download it here. It's a remarkable piece of work predicting when we will overtake the various teams in front of us going on their and our current performance.

From this data Graham predicts the following days for moving up the table

We will overtake Sweden 15th Jan, Australia 19th Jan, IBM UK 21st Jan, IBM Beaverton 23rd Jan, IBM Grid Team 24th Jan, IBM NL zOS Dinos 29th Jan.

In February we will overtake Austin Grid Team 1st Feb, Gay USA 13th Feb, then a bumper day on Feb 22nd when we will overtake both IBM Innovation Centre and Hungary, IBM Healthcare 23rd Feb, Denmark 24th Feb.

Nobody in March 8-((

On April 6th we will overtake the Christians and on 8th April we will catch up and overtake IBM Austin.

By my poor Maths that will make us 18th in the world no mean feat by a team of currently only 30 Members!!

Graham, I think the spreadsheet needs *a little* modification. biggrin We should use a exponential curve, not a straight line cool

In short:
We are 3 months ahead of schedule!

We are also the sixth in point generation per day, and FIFTH in results return per day, just 3 results per day behind canada, in the margin of error!
(Note: Note average results per day, but yesterday's statistics)

CONGRATULATIONS ALL!

smile Good Morning Orca
(#1) You will note that results from the Spreadsheet were based on 30 Members and was accurate at the original time of posting and was just meant as as a prediction

*is overwhelmed and dies*

I haven't even written my will yet! crying

J/k

My comments on the spreadsheet were jokes, because I know the one I referred to was really, really old.

Graham, I really take my hat off to you.

Re: dtype

alternate meaning:

forget (n.) an object used in the purpose of obtaining something.

Okay, I'm getting harmfully addicted to this...
