so now i'm running 5.8.15 version of the BOINC...it's working OK! and it's the WCG version for crunching...
----------------------------------------so when they upgrade, with i have to uninstall & install a new version? or there will be auto-update - sthg like UDagent had automaticlly? or there is some option in BOINC for update of the software version? |

The automatic updater is called "KLiK". Once WCG is ready to upgrade, just download and install over the existing program. The process takes care of stopping the client, installing and restarting. All settings you had and work in progress is preserved.

At this time, I recommend sticking with 5.8 if at all possible.
Berkeley have successively released 5.10.7, 5.10.13 and 5.10.20. None of these are the final 5.10 release, and all have known bugs. So, don't upgrade yet. An auto-updater is planned, but it will be off by default. |
