Anyone who posts messages about sensitive topics to cause controversy in an online community is a troll. Vester, anyone with better stats than you (and me) and only 2 posts in 2 years should be allowed a few more posts before being rudely named a troll.  In that case he should know that the number of devices is the number of installations of the program, not the number of computers. In your case you should know that the activity of WCG members should be checked first in the WCG stats before going to BoincStats if needed. again.It would have been sufficient to remind to check if the subject one wants to start is already active in the forum before creating a new thread. Sorry if you don't agree with this viewpoint but at the end of the day it's the overall total of units crunched by every single p.c that is the phenomenal output of this community grid that everyone should be proud to be a part of. @Slapshot, Nicely said. To me, the points are just another statistic. The number of results and time put in by each user should be what they are proud of. Teams and points are just fun and games while crunching and ways to get more people to participate. @Vester, Sorry that you are going. Sometimes it's best to just avoid the forums or certain areas of them. I have done this and it helps. Now I just stick to reading the support and suggestions forums. |

A REAL user? A World Community Grid participant?
If you are going to slag my results, try to get the right ones for WCG: My Accumulated Points: 1,008,366 Unfortunately my account spilt into two, and the WCG one does not reflect other Boinc activity and visa-versa if you query Boinc stats for the other projects I have not particpated much, I spend most of my time on the WCG, seems to be the most pointful project at the moment. After there is zero point in looking for aliens cause they are all around us. |
