Hi
The subject says it all. Here's the complete log: Result Log <core_client_version>5.4.11</core_client_version> <message> - exit code -1073741502 (0xc0000142) </message> It's been going on from 05 august, WUs before that were completing just fine. I thought maybe this is connected with the FAAH code transition, but other devices (regardless of BOINC version) crunch correctly in the same time. Any idea what's happening? Best regards, Petre |

Here is the entry in the BOINC Wiki:
http://www.boinc-wiki.info/index.php?title=Te...og:_Exit_Code_-1073741502 This is a Microsoft Windows® "stop" error. This specific error is most likely related to an error initializing a Dynamic Link Library. Sounds as though you are missing a DLL. |

The Wiki says nothing specific, unfortunately, so I don't know what DLL to check for.

Have you tried a soft-boot? (I know I know, 24/7 crunchers hate to do that
---------------------------------------- )Windows has a self repair function (XP at least), so run that to see if something got awry. If you installed new software, you may in fact have installed with older versions of one or the other library. Happens all the time. Normally Windows XP checks if an outdated lib got pasted in, but not if it's not core system critical. It's always a good idea to save a Restore Point before installing anything. If the problem started after such an action and a reboot does not help, try to go find a restore point and revert. My last one *was* August 4.

The system is up since january or so
I will try a restart to see if that changes anything and if not, some general Windows repair actions. It's frustrating not to know which DLL is causing the error.. |

I haven't got the chance to do anything on the computer. But interesting enough, after the FAAH version migration, it crunches the new FAAH WUs without a hitch.
Now it all seems fine, but I will keep monitoring it, nevertheless. Thx for your help |
