Oh NO!!!! May I be your driver? Hmm, you probably wouldn't trust my skills. But I am a good driver, honest! Forgive my teasing? I am very naughty! Bundi How are you? why won't you tell us? I hope and pray fervently that you recover your health 100%. My daughter drives all of us occasionally, but mostly, when she is at work, teaching English to adults, we depend upon taxicabs. My health? This is a man's thing, and we don't talk about it - someone might be eating! My GP rang me back this morning - she has received a report from the Urodynamic Centre suggesting a course of antibiotics just before the next test. The centre seems to be more interested in a clean test field than in a clean bill of health, but she and I have worked out a compromise, so, G*d willing, we can have both. I spent yesterday morning at the Preoperative Assessment clinic, and was pronounced fit for general anaesthesia. The provisional date of operation is Monday, 16th Feb. Thank you all for your enquiries, especially Jean P. |

Nothing to give thanks for Harold No, Jean; there is plenty to give thanks for. You are a very valuable person , not only for me but for many of us, what are friends for Will call you tomorrow Sleep well and take care Every day I count my blessings, not the least of which are my friends here in WCG, my colleagues and all the other health workers; as well as those in my family tree, in Convocation, on the square and on the authorship course here in Prestwich. I bless you all, and give thanks to the National Health Service and all the other organisations that brought us together. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 10, 2009 11:46:45 AM] |

Good morning Harold
Blessings back to you amigo Here is something Travel Film Archive Travel back in time and around the world with The Travel Film Archive. The Travel Film Archive is a collection of travelogues and educational and industrial films -- many of them in color - that show the world the way it was between 1900 and 1970. Our holdings include archives of the renowned travel filmmakers Burton Holmes, Andre de la Varre, and James A. FitzPatrick, as well as footage shot by many other intinerant cameramen. Please keep in mind that the narration for some of these films was written over 75 years ago and reflects the colonial attitudes of the time, some of which may seem offensive today. The Travel Film Archive presents these as historical artifacts and does not endorse or condone any point of view conveyed by the films. Footage from The Travel Film Archive has been transferred from film originals and is available for licensing at: Website: http://www.travelfilmarchive.com |

From what I have seen so far, this seems to be an exceptionally well presented archive of its times. I will be seeing a lot of these films - so far I have seen Angkor and, for an encore, The Middle East. I will give you my reactions when they are no longer first impressions.
