we all took one step backwards
---------------------------------------- Having a great Cold Shoulder week there has to be some suffering before I get to next week. Using the memory stick method of number crunching to keep up that points tally. You copy from a UD client install the whole World Community Grid directory from Program Files onto a memory stick. Then you plug the stick into any old PC (Like the one on my desk) Click on UD.exe and you are away. When you are done crunching move the stick back to your Internet Connected PC and the completed work unit is uploaded and a new wu installed to the stick. Bring memory stick back in the next day - rinse and repeat More research gets done - bonus + the DPB's stay behind us for that bit longer ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Jul 17, 2007 4:22:48 PM] |

btw Dave Bell is the man to see for cake Dave have you polished them off as yet? Dave -- Oh yeah -- the first five are gone. Had to buy two more since and one of those is gone. I do drink a lot of coffee -- perhaps that's why coffee cake doesn't last very long around here. ![]() |
