Hey David,
----------------------------------------I had forbidden my kids to read Harry Potter when they were little. Then I read more about it and actually read the first book myself -- and really enjoyed it. I haven't read all the books, but I've seen all the movies and find them very entertaining. I'm looking forward to the latest one. Just to clarify my H Potter post as I may have been misunderstood (I have had a few concerned emails - oops)
----------------------------------------I went in to the Movie as a Christian and I came out more of a Christian as God spoke to me throughout along the lines of the verse from Ephesians and about each of us in the Body of Christ and the unique part we each contribute as Church together. While i sought to ban Potter to "protect" my kids they have seen far worse horrific real life events in their short lives and the difficulties they face as young Teenage Christians are not on account of viewing or reading a Fantasy Story about Good versus Evil. They understand the difference between story and real life. That said I love "The Matrix" for all the same allegorical reasons It's Cool Yours in Love Dave |
