Please will you remove the "Failed to get VersionInfo size" warning from stderr? It's meaningless, and it confuses people when they try to diagnose errors.
That, or fix it so it can extract the version! |

There is also a spurious "ERROR: Restoring checkpoint failed. Unable to restore state!" after "INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning."
Error messages worry people - I think they should be saved for important occasions, don't you? :-p |

No argument there... maybe something for the future Wiki with WCG specific warning and error messages if the scientists/developers think that all crunchers should be as bright as them. That dumbed down UD interface in that respect was not so dumb.
