----------------------------------------To all, I addition to my objecting (and asking the WCG administration to remove -- which they refused) to the violent and humorless picture of a cat being held at gun point, I object the the duplicity in the following: The Team Islam thread was titled "Please Join Islam", but the WCG administration re-wrote the thread title to be "Please Join Team Islam". Now, when I objected to the words "join the Christians" in the thread for Team Islam, the administration refused to remove the slogan. I find this duplicity typical of what Muslims are confronted. If you have a signature that is in violtion of the "no recruting in other team thread' policy, then do not post in other teams. To Admin, This Team Islam thread has been uterly destroyed. Since you refuse to fix it (as the SEC requires), I intend to abaondon it and start a new Team Islam thread. May God grant us non-violent images and no cross recruiting in the Muslim Team thread. So when you complained and said Ady's sig with the cat offended you that was a lie. Was really the link to the Christians team that offended you. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why. PS: this "Carl" person gave me various tacit threats, yesterday in email. This Carl person sent me a copy of the email yesterday. Were no threats in it. It didn't contain anything I wouldn't like to say to you at this moment for your ****treatment of Ady. BTW Ady has helped many on this site when he didn't have to. Where are they now. claychipsmith, signatures are exempt from the "no recruiting in other team threads" rule. You are more than welcome to promote team Islam in your own signature. Signatures aren't exempt from any other rules, though. Signatures have been removed in the past when they contain offensive language.
You may be wondering "why are signatures exempt from the recruiting rule?" - and that's a good question. Way back when WCG was young, there was some discussion about this. Eventually, it was determined that promoting one's team in a signature was a sensible, natural place to mention teams, and it wasn't actively recruiting. So long as nobody takes offence about the mentioning of other teams, then there is no problem. I'm sorry this controversy has once again destroyed your team thread. |

It is not 'this controversy' that destroyed the thread it is total intolarance of the thread originator that destroyed it. Still, what can you exect from a religion that executes people for converting to christianity....
