Re: Lost 12% of the job after shut down.

Very much depends on when you shut down, how you shut down and what OS you are running (Vista?).

Hello de080576,
Are you running on Windows Vista? If so, there is a thread in 'Start Here' explaining how to set u on Vista.

Are you running BOINC? If so, there is a file stdoutdae.txt that stores all the messages.

Otherwise, it sounds very unusual. Have you made any changes to your system lately?

If you are running HPF2, it is known for some very long times between checkpoints. When you turn off your computer and restart it, it will resume at the last checkpoint. Try the FAAH project.

Many of us just leave our systems on 24/7 anyway to minimize the checkpoint problem and give more results to the scientists.

Yes - very long times between checkpoints. Too long for me (12 hours) and running 24x7 is not an option for me. I've just unchecked HPF since I am just wasting my time trying to process it. sad
