Can't upload completed WUs.

If we're back online, why can't my PCs upload completed WUs?

See the same thing here with upload attempts for last 5:35 hours, but managed to recover from this seeming server hickup. Do as follows:

1. Go to activity menu and set "Network Activity Suspended"
2. Wait 30 seconds and set "Network Activity Always Available"

After this my uploads went thru.

Sometimes the client will not recover, though it should automatically.

What BOINC version were you running again (Always report that and OS please)?

There will have been a very heavy load on the servers when they came back up. A few temporary failures are to be expected.

Thanks! I'm running BOINC client version 5.8.16.
There was a 4.75 - 5 hour deley shown under the 'Transfers' tab, but that cleared when I hit 'Retry Now'.

Well, the suspending / reactivating network connection worked (The retry now button was greyed in the transfer tab even with a selected file counting clock), but "Ready to Report" tasks wont go. In the Project tab it just sits in "Waiting pending update, requested by user........" not even the 5:03 minutes delay counter shows up. Anyone else?

If you need to kickstart communications, the thing to do is select "Retry communications" in the Advanced menu.

Thanks D., not noticed this menu feature in 'Advanced'.... eyes wide shut ;>) A new addition presumably. Does not generate a log entry in the message tab and still no movement..... not only that, it stops the reporting of other projects given it's continuing to wait on a server reaction from WCG. Meantime the completed result files do get uploaded.

Then, suspended the WCG project causing the same 'Waiting' on other project. Exited BOINC and restarted, which made it to transmit. After, taking WCG out of suspend made it moved too.

Might have a bug on hand with 5.10.8 test version and seeing 5.10.10, 5.10.11 and 5.10.12 test versions flashing bye, updates are following in very rapid succession.

It's been there forever :-p

It is useful if communication is deferred, and you want to get things moving again. It also will retry all your pending transfers.

5.10.12 doesn't work, so wait for the next one.
