The Forum Code

smile The Forum Code

If you want to make some mates
Try to start some good debates
Stop at calling people names
Then we will avoid the flames

We know tempers can run high
This is when you have to try
To cool them down for all concerned
And this will be a lesson learned

We are here to do some good
Lets assume that's understood
Let's have some fun while we are here
And post our threads with lots of cheer

This will be a better forum
If we post with some decorum
Lets not forget the simple goal
To crunch those Units as a whole

I've tried to make this message clear
To all the members posting here
There are no points for posting flames
And we should have some higher aims

Please try to avoid flame wars
Nobody wins, its futile
Harmony is the order of the day
Lets all try a little harder to get along
In the end we will all benefit

Thank you all for reading this
Your comments are most welcome

Best Regards

Thank you.

Re: Lesson For The Day - The Forum Code

Graham,

Nice poetry, and so true..... E-mail and forums are a very limited tool for inter human communication sick sick simply because you do not see and/or hear how thinks are said. I know, I've learned the hard way.. sad

To All:
These are my personal rules I have commited myself to.
If you feal anger comming up because someone wrote someting you do not like at all please do the following.....
1. Write a answer including four letter words to temper your anger...
2. Check your answer for incorrect language...
3. Select all you have written with CRTL A ...
4. Press delete button..... ( you can do better biggrin )
5. Re-read the answer of the one you got angry at.
6. Go walk the dog, take beer, do some shopping to think about your anger.
7. If you are still angry analyse why?
....Q1. The use of indecent language?
....A1. Your apponent does not have reached adulthood jet.
....S1. Do not bather writing back.
....Q2. You fully disagree with his/hers point of view because it contradictional to every "value of life" to you.
....A2. Since this is the WWW your opponent is likely to live on another spot of this globe were a other "value of live" is accepteble. ...WARNING!!! one or both of you are not communicating in their natural language.
....S2. Re read again aand see if this message can be explained differently and ask for furter explanation when needed is a non angry ........ mode and explain why you see differently... you might end up with a friend on the other side of the globe in case you are both ........ able and willing to keep communicating... smile
....Q3. Is the subject turned to be related to any religion?
....A3. Your opponent is of another religion.
....S3. This is a discussion that already lasts for centuries and you will not be able to win it, accept a different point of view and respect ......... it, write your opponent that you accept and respect his/hers point of view but that you see differently .... try to end this .........discussion A.S.A.P. no one can win such a discusion every one will lose.

If this did not solve your problem, turn of your monitor ( keep crunching thrue biggrin biggrin ) and start the next day right from the beginning. But most important be aware of this....
->-> E-mail and forums are a very limited tool for inter human communication <-<-

Those were my two eurocents of your crunching time... rose
Keep the CPU's smoking and glowing untill the last crunch is chrunched.. sick
