Re: Dutch Power Cows

As I think I already said, the fact that the challenge has brought in more crunchers for WCG is very welcome - and lets hope more come for the good of the project - but lets also hope they stay after the month is up tongue

I wasn't suggesting this be a PotM for the DPC's, just that whilst some are here it may as well be treated as such should the challenge not go ahead - just a shame many will disappear again at the end. My idea of the usefulness of these challenges is to encourage the recruitment by the challengers of those new to crunching or increase output by those already on the team, rather than bringing in from other projects for a month just to win.

I have no idea whether Christians wish to withdraw or not Sek - as I made clear I was making a purely personal observation - to me it just seems a shame to have a challenge that is now probably a foregone conclusion - not really much excitement in that wink

having said all that - if the final result is that more work is completed - which it will be - then I am 100% for it hugs

Diana G,

The unanimous opinion at DPC forum (GoT) is, that regardless the outcome, we hope that the Cs will give us some counterweight. Who knows will the side-effect be, that other teams will power up too and go on an outside recruiting spree as we are aiming for higher goals,

So, thanks for challenging The Dutch Power Cows fighting Disease.

Re: Dutch Power Cows

OK Sek. Perhaps the Apache was a little extreme, unless you consider the 100+ high-end crunchers the production line uses which sit idle 15 hours a day. Time for a little extra recruiting.... biggrin

Regardless of the output, WCG will be the winner. I just wonder if they are ready for some projects to complete sooner than previously expected? thinking
