Will there ever be a distributed computing project to find new medicines against Asthma?

To answer your first question, I have not heard about any distributed projects aimed at asthma. I just looked at http://distributedcomputing.info/projects.html and http://lattice.umiacs.umd.edu/gridservices.php but I did not see anything. Lawrence |

Excellent point! As to my knowledge Asthma and Allergies do not feature in any grid computing project although millions of people are concerned. Still more research has to be done.

Aren't allergies a result of malfunctions of the immune system? Then maybe fundamental biological research like HPFP2, rosetta or folding@home could improve things indirectly...
