Happy Father's Day!!!

This is a little late, but I'm a little slow, so . . .

Happy Father's Day to all Dads past and present. Tell us about your Dad or about how your family celebrated.

Mine was in the army for 20 years. He passed the officer's test a couple times but was happy being an NCO (non-commissioned officer). He died when I was very young so I don't remember much.

One thing that stands out though was the time he took me hunting. I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 and kept pestering him to let me fire the shotgun. Finally he couldn't take it anymore and let me. Knocked me right on my butt. Some of us have to learn the hard way I guess. Dad understood that.

Re: Happy Father's Day!!!

My dad is a Vietnam veteran. He now works as a senior mechanical designer at an engineering firm. He's always been very supportive and caring.

I spent most of the day cooking for the family... prime rib with madeira and horseradish sauces, yorkshire puddings (my first time having them), roasted asparagus, and blueberry pie. Delicious, if I do say so myself cool
