Good Work
---------------------------------------- BTW: Is it possible to view, how much of the work WCG achieves is done using the client from UD and how much by using BOINC? ![]() |

BTW: Is it possible to view, how much of the work WCG achieves is done using the client from UD and how much by using BOINC? I would imagine if you find out what the overall WCG points total is and you subtract the Boinc tally (7,000,000,000) it would give you those figures. |

Overall (UD was the first platform here, BOINC entered later): 26,173,435,055 - 1,000,887,345*7 = 19 167 223 640 [UD gained so far] -> ~73% Yesterday: 66,008,038 - 5,201,388*7 = 29,598,322 [UD gained yesterday] -> 45% |

Effectively you demonstrate here that BOINC does now 55% of the daily points production (hours crunching * hourly claim * 7). The next website update will move the prime Windows client install selection to BOINC and hopefully 5.10 test version will be promoted to recommended right after.
----------------------------------------Grats to us all on the first billion. That's spot 6 in the all DC project list and # 2 in the life science. On daily crunching it's # 1 outshining Rosetta who's been on BOINC only quite some time longer. http://www.boincstats.com/index.php?or=19 (hit column headers to sort on values)

Now if we could just convert about half of those SETI folk out there to here... ![]() Aye, SETI domination should be shortened to increase BOINC comprehension as trully Open Infrastructure. But how? So far the most pressured argument of seti folks against WCG is the low points-giving. |

Actually it's Seti and a few more projects over-paying.... is there politics?: The comparative x-project sheet shows WCG being pretty much crediting as per the spirit of the benchmark.... 100,000 cobblestones (credits), per 1 teracycle processed.
