Iv been to the link and done everything i could to try to fix my connection problem but it still says that my connetion is paused and i cant get it to start.
Iv tried to firewall and turned it off but it still wont work. I have windows ME My laptop does meet system requirements Just tell me if you need any more information |

Hmmm... I don't know what to say, is this the first time this has happened? Does the Agent "see" the internet? I don't really have an answer...

Maximize the icon, then click on the Check Mark at the bottom to switch to the Preferences Screen. Does the Device Profile say Default? Does the Custom Schedule section say Every Day with connection times Anytime? Is there anything special on the Proxy Setting? If nothing occurs to you, then let's identify your anti-virus and firewall software. I assume you are using a private connection. Is there a router involved? And how much Virtual Memory does your system have? Rosetta uses 200 MB all by itself. Also, have you completed a Work Unit 100%? Lawrence |

I found that my connection was pausing just after it had loaded a new agent. This started happening after an update to my PANDA virus checker last Friday. I find that if I disable PANDA for a few seconds the new agent starts up, and then keeps going when I have re-enabled PANDA.
I am very unhappy about this since a) it opens my machine to attack and b) it cuts down on productivity since I cannot watch my machine 24 hours a day. Since this problem started I have been losing rank steadily. I have emailed PANDA but not received a reply. Advice would be most welcome. Andrew Colin |

Well my problem is like what the guy in your third thread has. It is an older laptop and i might as well use it for this. But all that happens is exactly what he says. My newer laptop is working fine though.
Btw the older laptop is a Sattelite 1800 i think lke 5 years old now... mabey 4. |

Animelrd10: Your Satellite 1800 might still be useful.  If you check out http://www.grid.org you will see that they are running a cancer research project (Ligand) for Oxford University that can use slower CPUs with less RAM than Rosetta requires.
