How to tell whether or not a project has work available?

So how can you? Recently all I have been getting is muscle dystrophy units. Does that mean that that is the only one that has units for now or does it just send out the one with the most units available? And how can I check how many of each there are?

You can't tell. However, you can find out a little more by checking the forums.

There is work for all projects, but right now, the current phase of Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy is coming to an end. I think the techs have given it a higher priority to get it finished off quickly.

FightAIDS@Home will also be entering a new phase very soon, so the techs have a lot to balance to make their deadlines work out.

Ah okay I see, so bascially they are trying to 'get rid' of all the muscle dystrophy ones for now then when the new Aids one comes along that will be given a slightly higher priority to make sure they reach the deadlines.
When you say 'checkng the forums' do you mean each individual forum for each project?

Well, the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy forum has a thread detailing what I just told you.

We don't mind repeating ourselves, but a quick look around will often get you answers more quickly.

Re: How to tell whether or not a project has work available?

rohil,

If you look in the Statistics , By Project , you can see for each science how much work was done in the previous 24 hours.

There is no place where WCG publish how much work is available per agent and operating system. They usually tell us when the last batch is loaded into the distribution system. For HCMD that happened a few days ago. It usually takes from a last unit downloaded to last work unit uploaded around 10 days to get 99.99% back.

The graph below in my signature gives 'current' ballpark estimates of an ending date.
